Re-polling was conducted at 48 stations in Punjab on Thursday. Cabinet
minister and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia also
casted his vote in Majitha. The Election Commission of India (ECI),
earlier this week, had ordered re-polling at 48 polling stations across
Amritsar, Majitha, Moga, Muktsar, Sardulgarh and Sangrur assembly
segments. The decision was taken following malfunctioning of the
Voter-Verified Audit Paper Trail (VVPAT) Electronic Voting Machines
(EVMs). The results for 117 seats will be declared on March 11.
